Dégustation

Le vin possède une belle robe Or brillant, avec un nez de fruits exotiques et quelques notes de miel et d'agrumes. La vivacité en attaque de bouche équilibre parfaitement la structure généreuse du à l'harmonie de l'assemblage. La finale est une caresse d'agrumes à la douceur vanillée, un régal !

Technique

This is a single malt from the Yoichi distillery, Nikka's first distillery built in 1934.
The founder Masataka Taketsuru chose Yoichi in Hokkaido because of the similar environmental conditions to Scotland, where he learned whisky making. Yoichi single malt has pleasant peaty notes and smokiness originating from the traditional direct coal-fired distillation as well as a briny hint delivered by the sea breeze during the aging process.

It is a youngling, for it was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2016.
The nose is honeysweet on vanilla pudding, pear drops, white chocolate and Haribo candy bears. A touch of ginger and liquorice. Very accessible despite the obvious young nose.
Lovely oily body and mild on the spices on the palate. Think white pepper, ginger and nutmeg. Less sweet than the nose promised on breakfast cereals, grain cookies and apples. Again obviously young, but it does not bother

Glendronach 12 years heeft ten minste 12 jaar in zowel Pedro Ximinez als Oloroso sherry vaten gerijpt.
Glendronach 12 years is rijk, romig en zijdezacht.
Warme, rijke zoetheid van de eik en sherry geven een vol mondgevoel van zacht fruit.

Cépage utilisé : Chardonnay.
Méthode de vinification : Vendanges manuelles triées,
égrappage à 100%, foulage et pressurage, fermentations
alcoolique et malolactique naturel. Elevage durant 18 mois en fût de chêne 600 litres et en 225 litres avec ouillage pour garder la finesse et le fruit du cépage.
Rendement moyen : 45 hl/ha
Géologie : Cette cuvée est issue d’une vigne exposée sud avec un terroir composé d’une fine couche d’argile sur le calcaire du kimméridgien. Des couches de marne rouge se superposent aux couches de calcaire. Ainsi certains pieds sont dans le calcaire du kimméridgien et d’autres dans la marne rouge.
